Detour EP is the result after a year of intense studio time and experimentation of a new set up. In these last 12 months there was a slight shift in Pitral’s productions, with new hardware providing more edginess and raw acidic techno sounds.
This 12 inch is the result of that new musical signature. ‘Detour’ original is focused on a strong acid baseline with simultaneously overflowing tune. Voices from ‘from the depth of the soul’ with ‘deep and hard’ kicks make for a raw, melodramatic track.
‘Meatsuit’ builds up steadily, with a mid high rolling kick, lifting up towards off tune strings and a hypnotic leads. In this track Derek develops soundscapes full of dynamics and depths.
On the flipside, Björn Torwellen has remixed ‘Detour’ and Leghau remixes the second track ‘Meatsuit’.
